Free

When: 5.30pm – 7pm Thursday 22 April 2021
Where: UCOL Whanganui, 16 Rutland St, Whanganui

Te Pūkenga, is New Zealand’s largest tertiary education provider and globally, the 35th largest provider of vocational education.  UCOL is a part of Te Pūkenga, and across the country approximately 240,000 people are participating in some form of vocational education and training, supported by about 10,000 full time staff.

At this BA5 event, Chief Executive Stephen Town will fill us in how Te Pūkenga (New Zealand Institute of Skills and Technology) is taking shape and what it means to our regions.  Stephen has held executive positions for over 20 years in tertiary education, local government, and transport.  He is former Chief Executive of Auckland Council.  Previous roles include leading the Franklin District and Tauranga City Councils, and Regional Director of NZTA in Northland/Auckland.  His first chief executive role was at the Wanganui Regional Community Polytechnic in 1994, making him the youngest CE in New Zealand at the time.

We look forward to seeing you at UCOL to hear Stephen speak, take part in questions and answers and to enjoy this networking opportunity.

Refreshments will be provided.  Please RSVP before 4pm Tuesday 20 April.
Bookings are essential please for catering purposes.  Many thanks.
