Please join us for this month’s Breakfast of Champions with Dr Kristen Hamling at Frank. Bar + Eatery.
Lessons from Christchurch: How well placed are leaders to manage trauma in the workplace, and why should organisations have trauma-informed policies and practices?
Kristen has spent most of her career helping people survive and thrive after trauma. She has worked with the Australian Defence Force, emergency service organisations, and hundreds of NGOs in Australia. More recently, Kristen helped a major New Zealand employer manage their trauma response after the Mosque attacks in Christchurch.
Despite the significant relationship between trauma and wellbeing, most organisations lack the tools to support staff affected by trauma. Kristen developed an evidence-based model that guides organisations to support their staff following exposure to trauma.
At this month’s Breakfast of Champions, Kristen will briefly talk through the model and explain why an effective trauma management policy is critical for promoting and protecting staff wellbeing and ultimately, your business.
